Miller Lowry Partners with Waterford Homes on Two Downtown Norcross Communities

Staff Report from Metro Atlanta CEO

Wednesday, February 6, 2019

Miller Lowry Developments, MLD, has entered into a strategic partnership with award-winning Waterford Homes to develop two subdivisions near in historic downtown Norcross.

The move is a critical milestone for MLD, which since 2003 has redeveloped several historic and iconic neighborhoods in and around Atlanta. The partnership allows MLD to focus on larger-scale development solutions by shifting the general contractor role to one of the best-known custom residential builders in Atlanta.

“By partnering with one of Atlanta’s most respected private homebuilding companies, we will be looking more broadly at the development opportunities while seeking to form successful partnerships with the best real estate companies in metro Atlanta,” said Miller Lowry, CEO and Founder, MLD. “I’ve long-admired David Clough, who is one of the best known builders in the state. We are thrilled to announce this new partnership with Waterford Homes.”

Old Norcross Estates is a 14 home subdivision within walking distance of downtown Norcross. Each home is designed to reflect and preserve the history of Norcross, with architecturally distinct designs on large lots evoking modern-style farm houses. They will feature top of market amenities including chef’s kitchens and open floor plans.

The 19-home Astoria is an infill community within walking distance of downtown Norcross, with timeless designs and quality finishes. Homes will have open floor plans, 10-foot ceilings on the first floor and gourmet chef’s kitchens and smaller, traditional lots. Waterford will deliver the second phase of the project for MLD.

MLD delivered Vickers and Blacksmith Row in historic downtown Roswell late last year, and started construction on The Felix, a 15-unit luxury townhome development in West Midtown this year. It also hired several key, experienced executives. The partnership with Waterford Homes continues the company’s momentum and growth.
